Apologies to the 100's!!! of fans who were bored to tears by the slow overates and scoring . Batting 1st on a slow soft pitch scoring was difficult and this was compounded by our batsman collapsing from a relatively good start of 42 for 2 to 66-9 a last5 wicket partnership of 60 between Ottewell Snr & Walker Jnr gave a total of 126 this gave Aston the task of scoring @ 4 runs an over in the 1hr 50 mins remaining . They were soon reduced to 21 -3 eventually holding out for a draw on 75-4 when the time ran out at 7.00pm .

These have been set as follows :-

Subcriptions are £20 if paid by 31st May 2008 else they will be charged at the full rate of £30. Players Under 16 on the 1st April 2008 will be charged the Junior rate of £5 per year

Match Fees are £7 for all senior games with concessions/juniors paying the reduced rate of £5 , Freindlies will charged at £4 for all players .

Well folks that's it for another season as we finally drew the curtain on our Outdoor season for 2007 with our annual Intra Club 20/20 , big thanks to Trevor Harris & Paul Stevenson for umpiring ,
Oti's Blues beat Gus's Reds on a really good bouncy track quite remarkable for saying it was October .

Well commrades thats it for the competitive stuff this year .
1st X1 finnish in the top half of the table for the 1st time in 6 years & 3rd X1's gain promtion . U17's League & Cup Double and not forgetting Leo's A&B team winning the Matlock 6 aside comp. Not a bad return.
