What felt like the first decent days weather helped produce to great wins for the Club
With the 1st's away to Marehay
Marehay won the toss and decided to take first knock. As things turned out this was a mistake because Marehay were dismissed in 45.5 overs for a modest score. Gareth Buckley (35), Adrian Vickerage ((34 )and Ben King (35) were the main scorers, but the batting had been checked by the combined efforts of Campbell Ogilvie, Adris Azam, David Lewis and Tausef Ali Kasmi, all claiming two wickets apiece. Then when A&B took second knock Marehay had to cope with Anthony Woolley in great form. He was again asked to open the innings and he rewarded the faith put in him by carrying his bat for 115 not out and claiming victory with something to spare.
At home the 2nd X1 won the toss and posted a below par total of 143 all out in 45.1 overs .
Walton on Trent bowled and fielded exceptionally well with Chapman & Oomer both returning figures of 3 - 33 . For A&B only Si manager a significant score carrying his bat for an undefeated 61no. Walton never quite got to grips with the tight bowling from A&B's opening bowlers . After 17 overs they had lost 3 wickets for @ 30 runs . Chapman for Walton scored a quick fire 33 but when he was dismissed none of the other batsmen were able to get going and with Rick Crowther taking 5 -14 they were all out for 103
